Step Inside the Story
Insider’s tour with Ken Wells on the bayou, plus his complete set of first-edition autographed works

This package is perfect for the Wells fan or anyone who loves an amazing story about Louisiana in all her beauty, struggles and courage.

• The half-day trip will be held on a Saturday during the month of October 2009, and will include a ride through the St. Bernard Parish bayous with shrimp boat captain Ricky Robin, a central character of Ken’s book, aboard the Lil' Rick,.

• The winning bidder will also receive Ken’s four novels, Meely LaBauve (a 2000 Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers book); Junior’s Leg (2001); Logan’s Storm (2002); and Crawfish Mountain (2007);

The central character in the book, Capt. Robin's colorful seafaring family dates back to the 1730s in St. Bernard Parish. Almost three decades later, Ricky rode out Katrina on the Lil' Rick, using his skill and wits to keep the boat afloat and then to help save hundreds of people after killer surges pounded St. Bernard Parish.
