Join LPB for the taping of Hold Onto Hope

Louisiana Public Broadcasting is proud to bring

Immaculée Ilibagiza

to Baton Rouge to tell her story of survival and forgiveness
on Friday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the
Magnolia Performing Arts Pavilion
on the Baton Rouge Community College campus.

LPB is sponsoring this FREE event and will be taping her speech for an upcoming public television special. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Ilibagiza is the author of two books, Left to Tell and Led By Faith: Rising From the Ashes of the Rwandan Genocide. Both books feature her survival stories and explain how she has found the strength to overcome the tragedy and forgive the people who perpetrated it. She hopes by speaking out and telling her story, it will help prevent future genocides and that her message of faith, hope, forgiveness, and reconciliation can help people seek peace in their own lives.
