Drawing on a Travel Brochure
1. To
create a color background for one of your sections, select the Rectangle
Tool from the Tool Box. Then draw a box that takes up the entire section of
the brochure that you want to color. Release the mouse, select the color you
want from the color palette and click on the box you have drawn. The section
will become that color. Click outside the section to move on to the next
section. Color the background before you add pictures
or text.
2. To
begin typing on your brochure, first select the Arrow pointer from the
Tool Box. Then use the Format menu to select the font, style. size. and color
of type you want to use. Once you are satisfied with your choices, select the Text
Tool, draw a text box and start typing.
3. To
insert a picture from the Internet, you must minimize the screen you are
working on. Then open the Internet, find your picture and hold the mouse down
to copy the image. Minimize the Internet window and maximize the screen you
were working on. Open the Edit Menu and select Copy. Drag the
image to the place you want it and release the mouse. Do this each time you
want to copy a new image.
4. You
may also use images from the library in your drawing program. Select Library
from the File menu and choose the image you want to copy. Click on Use
or OK to select it. Place the image in the location you want by dragging
it and releasing the mouse button.
