Making Trading Cards
Select Landscape or Horizontal
orientation.
Use the line tool to divide the
page in half vertically. Holding the shift key while you draw the line will
keep the line perfectly straight.

Side One:
Adding a Color Background to the
Front of the Card:
Use the rectangle tool to draw a box that completely covers the front of the card. Click outside the box.
Select
the Fill Color box from the tool box. Choose a color for the background. Once
you select it, the front of your card will become that color. To change the
color, just select another color from the Fill Color box.
Adding Graphics to the Card:
Draw
a box inside the colored box. This Is where you will place a picture of what
has been researched. Click outside the box. The box should be white inside. If
not, select the color white from the Fill color box.
Add the picture of
your object to the box by importing it from a library or getting it from the
Internet. Place it inside the box and click outside the picture. If you want to
remove the drawn rectangular box surrounding the picture, click on it to select
it. Then click on Delete.
Adding Text to Your
Card:
Use the text tool to
draw a box under the picture of your object. Use the menu to select the font,
size, and style you want for your writing. Then type title of your object
inside the text box.
To change the color
of the text after typing, select the arrow tool, and change the color by using
the Fill Color box. Once you select the color, the text already typed should
change to the selected color.

Side Two:
Draw a rectangular
box in which to type the facts you want to include on your card.
Use the Pen tool to change the
width of the box's lines.
Type the facts in
either list form or paragraph from into the box. Import a related picture to
place at the top of the trading card.
Give this side of your
card the same title as the front of the card.
