Lesson Objectives:
Students will use the Internet
to find facts about the planets.
Students will work in
cooperative groups to design a travel brochure for a planet.
Students will use a desktop
publishing program to create a travel brochure for a planet.

Procedures:
1. Divide students into groups and assign each group a planet to
research.
2. Using the Nine Planets web site, each group will research their
planet to gather information to
place in a
brochure.

3. Groups will then create a brochure for their assigned planet that
includes the following information using a
Desktop Publishing program.

4. Students will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Inclusion of Pictures
from Internet
Use
of color and spacing
Organization
of sections into logical sequence/order
Correct
spelling, grammar
Correctness of facts included in brochure
Giving appropriate
credit to each group member for his/her contribution.
