Two 50-minute class periods.
Nutrition is the key to feeling good physically and mentally. This
lesson will allow students to study the food pyramid and to learn
about healthy and tasty foods. At the end of this lesson students
plan a day of healthy food and they will be aware of more healthy
foods.
Science and Mathematics
The learner will:
Recognize the food groups necessary to maintain a healthy body.
Demonstrate the connection of number and number relations to the other.
Collect, organize, and describe data based on real-life situations.
