Troubleshooting Solutions

What:
National Teacher Training Institute (NTTI) workshop for teachers in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge.
When:
Saturday, March 27, 2003 from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Where:
Istrouma High School (3730 Winbourne Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA) (map of directions)

The workshop is designed to help teachers learn from other teachers how to integrate video and telecommunications into their classroom instruction. Twelve master teachers from throughout the state have found exceptional ways to use Instructional Television (ITV), PBS primetime programming, and the Internet to explain, motivate, reinforce, and reach students' different learning styles as they try to understand concepts. During the course of the Institute, participants observe and participate in lessons which illustrate, step-by-step, how to teach with technology.

This workshop will be delivered through a series of sessions at the elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. Each teacher will be able to attend 6 different concurrent sessions, including three hands-on technology sessions.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Door Prizes:

All teachers will walk away with lesson plans specific to their grade level and a CD that contains all lesson plans presented at the Institute. All teachers in attendance will receive a handheld computer!
